Dr. Christina Ng Van Tze

Hi, I’m Dr. Christina Ng, a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Medical Director at Onco Life Centre in Malaysia. I’ve dedicated my life to helping people fight cancer with the most personalized care possible. My special interests include cancer genetics, individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients through psycho-oncology.

I began my medical journey in Australia, where I earned my MBBS at the University of Melbourne. After completing my specialist training, I worked as a Consultant Medical Oncologist in Melbourne before returning to Malaysia in 2003. Since then, I’ve worked with thousands of patients, combining medical science with compassionate care.

Beyond my clinical work, I’ve always believed that cancer care should be available to everyone. That’s why I founded Empowered, the Cancer Advocacy Society of Malaysia. Through this organization, I’ve helped bring free cancer screening and education to over 100,000 people in under-resourced communities.

Throughout my career, I’ve led and participated in clinical trials focused on improving treatment for breast, lung, colorectal, and kidney cancers. I’ve also served on oncology advisory boards, shared my work at international conferences, and published research in leading journals.

To support newly diagnosed patients, I created My Journal, a resource book available in four languages. With over 10,000 copies distributed to government hospitals across Malaysia, it helps patients stay informed and feel supported through every step of their journey.

I continue to serve on global committees, such as the Patient Support and Advocacy Group at the World Conference on Lung Cancer. My work is always driven by one goal: to provide every patient with access to high-quality, evidence-based cancer care, regardless of who they are or where they live.
